On 27 September, we gathered again in Tødem for our latest Book Club session, and this time we took a trip back to childhood with Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince. Even though it looks like a children’s book on the outside, sitting down and talking about it made us realize just how much it speaks to the adult world. It’s a beautiful, bittersweet reminder of what truly matters in life.

What We Talked About

We spent a lot of time laughing and reflecting on how weird grown-ups look through the eyes of the Little Prince. The king who wants to rule everything, the businessman who thinks he owns the stars, we all saw a bit of our modern world in them. One person in the group made a great point: we get so caught up in “serious” things like work, numbers, and schedules that we completely forget how to look at the world with curiosity and wonder.

The biggest highlight of our chat was the fox’s famous secret: “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” This really hit home for everyone. The conversation got personal as we talked about our own “roses”, the people and things we care about, and how taking responsibility for those relationships is what gives our lives real meaning. We talked about how easy it is to look at things superficially nowadays, and how much we need to slow down and truly see each other.

What We Took Away

Leaving the session, the room felt incredibly warm. It wasn’t just a literary debate; it felt like a collective deep breath. It reminded us to look up at the stars a bit more often and to not lose that inner child who used to see a sheep inside a box instead of just a drawing. The vibe in Stockholm was wonderfully cozy, with everyone opening up about their own perspectives on love, friendship, and growing up. It’s exactly why we love this club—it’s a safe, warm space to reconnect with ourselves and each other.
