On April 27th, the Nordic Youth Platform hosted an inspiring and interactive Career Seminar
focused on a crucial question:

“How do you choose a career that truly fits your personality, interests, and strengths?”

This online event, held via Zoom, brought together more than 80 young people from across the
Nordic region and globe to reflect on what it really means to make informed, meaningful career
decisions in today’s complex world.

💡 Highlights from the Seminar

Our featured guest speaker, John Fatih Chetkin—a professional coach and
entrepreneur—guided us through key questions that many of us often wrestle with

    • Should your career align with your personality, or is it all about skills?
    • What is your biggest challenge when it comes to choosing a career path?
    • How can you start exploring careers that actually energize and fulfill you?

Through real-life examples, reflective prompts, and practical strategies, John helped participants
understand how self-awareness can be a powerful compass when making long-term career
choices.

A Space for Reflection and Growth

The session wasn’t just a lecture—it was a conversation. Attendees shared their thoughts in the
chat and engaged in Q&A, making the space feel dynamic and supportive. Many participants
left with a clearer understanding of their values and how those values can influence career
direction.
We were especially excited to see how openly participants engaged with the key takeaway:
👉 You don’t have to “have it all figured out” to move forward—you just need to start with
knowing yourself.
